PRELUDE
WELCOME, SILENT PRAYER, & PREPARATION FOR WORSHIP
VOTUM and GOD’S GREETING
God’s Children’s Approach
CALL TO WORSHIP (Responsive) - Based on Psalm 19
Let us be like the heavens and shout forth the glory of God!
Everything in creation proclaims that God has been at work.
Let our lives, too, proclaim that God has been at work in us,
For God revives us, gives us wisdom, enlightens us and gives us joy.
Let us draw near and worship our Redeemer.
Let our words and thoughts be worthy of you, O Lord, our Redeemer!
*HYMN #57 All Things Bright and Beautiful
CALL TO CONFESSION (Responsive) - Based on Psalm 52
Why do we boast of our mischief all day long?
Our tongues are like sharp razors.
We love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking the truth.
We love all that devours.
We love our abilities, our means, our lifestyles and ourselves.
But one day God will break down our pride, and demand righteousness!
O God, we seek to trust in your steadfast love forever and ever,
and put aside our mischief.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Forgive us for being selfish with our resources. We are blessed with material goods in abundance, yet our giving is more often characterized by fear and scarcity than by generosity. Forgive us for being tight-fisted with our money, our time, and our talents. Remind us of the example of the widow whose heart was so full of devotion that she couldn’t help but give all she had. May we become more generous and joyful givers. Amen.
[Moment of Silent Confession]
ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Friends, the word of the Lord is trustworthy and sure: When we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us. We are made new creatures in Christ. Hallelujah! Amen.
*PRAISE SONGS
*CHILDREN’S PRAYER OF BLESSING (Unison)
All-knowing God, preserve these children from the sins of selfishness and greed. Lead them into holy and virtuous lives of love, humble service, and generosity to you, to the work of your Kingdom, and to others. Amen.

Sunday School students are now invited to join their teachers.
God’s Opened Word
SCRIPTURE LESSON 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 (p. 820)
MESSAGE “Leftovers for God”
PRAYER OF THANKS
God’s Children’s Response

STEWARDSHIP PRESENTATION
HYMN OF DEDICATION #649 (Verses 1,2 & 5) We Give Thee But Thine Own
PRESENTATION OF OUR TITHES and OFFERINGS/OFFERTORY
*DOXOLOGY and OFFERTORY PRAYER (Unison)
We bring to you, O God, all of our resources. We offer to you our lives and our dollars; our love and our loyalty; our skills and talents; and our devotion and our time. May all our gifts be of service in the ministry and mission of Jesus Christ through the church! Amen.
ANNOUNCEMENTS CONCERNING THE FAMILY OF GOD
PASTORAL PRAYER and THE LORD’S PRAYER
*HYMN #558 Love Divine, All Loves Excelling
*BENEDICTION and RESPONSE My Friends, May You Grow in Grace
My friends, may you grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
My friends, may you grow in grace, and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
To God be the glory, now and forever, now and forever, amen.
To God be the glory, now and forever, now and forever, amen.

~THANK YOU FROM ELIZE AND PASTOR RUDY~
Elize and I would like to thank Alan Dick for the work he has done in fixing the stairs at the parsonage and building a railing for them, and for his help in resurfacing of the garage floor - a one-day project that turned into a week-long ordeal! Thank you Alan, thank you, thank you.

~Candlelight Night Christmas Caroling~

The Kinderhook Business and Professional Association has asked KRC, along with other area churches, to send carolers out on Candlelight Night, Friday, December 10. Each group is free to set their own caroling time between the hours of 6 and 8:30 pm; to make their own way through the village, stopping to sing in any businesses and shops with lights on and doors open; and to sing from the gazebo in the square if they would like. Please see Paul Clause if you are willing to coordinate this activity.

KRC’s Community Prayer Group invites you to join us at 9 a.m. Tuesday mornings in the conference room kitty-corner from the church office. We have a scripture, and pray for the pastor, consistory, our ministries, Sunday School, our youth, and illness and troubles in our families, church, and the world. ~ IMPORTANT REQUEST FROM STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY ~
In an effort to exercise the best possible stewardship in the use of our heating fuel, we are requesting that individuals and ministries using the church building make a special effort before leaving the church to be sure that the doors between the various heating zones are properly closed. All of these doors have signs posted on them as reminders, with the exception of the doors leading into the front and rear of the sanctuary and the wooden folding door leading to the meeting rooms behind the pulpit; these doors should be closed as well when the sanctuary and the meeting rooms are not in use. Thank you.
