  PRELUDE
WELCOME, SILENT PRAYER, & PREPARATION FOR WORSHIP
Boldly Approaching Our God

CALL TO WORSHIP   (Responsive)   Based on Psalms 95 and 96
Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord, the Rock of our salvation.
Let us come before him with thanksgiving, with music and with song,
for the Lord is the great King above all gods.
Come, let us bow down in worship.
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God,
and we are the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.
Come, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name.
Let us bring an offering and come into his courts.
Let us worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
*HYMN OF PRAISE #192                                       Crown Him with Many Crowns
CALL TO CONFESSION  2 Chronicles 7:14
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
PRAYER OF CONFESSION and ASSURANCE OF PARDON   (Unison)
Righteous God who will judge the living and the dead, we confess to our blind and ungodly pursuit of worldly pleasures and passions; and we acknowledge our need of your salvation.  Purify us from all wickedness.  Strengthen our hearts with your holiness.  Empower us to be self-controlled and upright in this present age, eager to answer your call to serve while we wait for the blessed hope - the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.
[Silent Prayer of Confession]
Praise be to God, who forgives us through faith in his Son, our Redeemer;
who keeps us pure and blameless - who sanctifies us body, soul, and spirit for his righteous purposes - until the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.
  PRAISE SONGS
  CHILDREN’S MESSAGE
PRAYER OF BLESSING UPON OUR CHILDREN  (Unison)
Great God, make your presence known to our children.  May they experience you and acknowledge you as a God of miracles – especially the miracles of their salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ.  Amen.

We Come Before God’s Open Word
PRAYER for ILLUMINATION (Unison)   From the hymn, Open My Eyes that I May See
Divine Spirit, open our eyes, ears, and hearts. Illumine us, that we may grasp the truth you have for us this day.  Silently, now, we wait for you, O God – ready, to know your will for our lives.
[Moment of Waiting before the Lord]

KRC SMALL GROUPS
KRC offers a small group opportunity 9 am Thursdays at the church.  PLEASE NOTE:  Due to the VBS program, Small Group will not meet again until 9 am July 5th.  At that time, they will begin a new Joyce Myers study, “Battlefield of the Mind”.

BRIAN POST, missionary whom we help to support as he and his wife, Bea, serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators, will be visiting with the KRC Family on MONDAY EVENING, JULY 2, at 6:00 pm.  Brian will update us on the work and ministries of Wycliffe, and will address some of the difficulties that regularly confront workers as they strive to bring the truth of God’s Word accurately  and faithfully to cultures that have never had the Bible in their language before. Particular attention will be given to recent criticism of Wycliffe related to the translation into some languages of references to Jesus as the Son of God and references to God the Father.  All are invited to attend, and you are encouraged to visit wycliffe.org beforehand: Click on “Son of God” at bottom of home page,  then click on “Q & A”, or pick up a Q & A packet on the back table.

JULY 4 MARCH CELEBRATING
236 YEARS of the USA and 300 YEARS of KRC!
At the June 11th Consistory meeting, the idea of participating in the annual Kinderhook People's Parade was suggested - and what a great way to celebrate KRC’s faith journey over the centuries, especially as we observe the 300th year of that journey!
As usual, the parade is on July 4th - this year a Wednesday.  Some ideas are walkers with a banner announcing KRC, walkers carrying their Bibles, and kids possibly waving USA flags.  Does anyone have a convertible or a flat-bed tractor?   All ideas are welcomed.
The walk is not too far:  parade line up is at the park on Rothermel Lane, and parade ending is at the Village Square.  And of course, all are very much encouraged to walk - a nice way to profess your faith, express your patriotism, fellowship with other KRC members, see neighbors, and exercise off those extra pounds you'll be putting on later in the day! Please see Patrice if you plan to walk and/or if you have ideas.

~ISAIAH 6 CONCERT, 7 PM FRIDAY, JULY 20, at  KRC~

YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN "THE OLDE DUTCH & SUCH" CRAFTS GROUP when we resume meeting 9:30 AM FRIDAY, JULY 13, IN THE FELLOWSHIP HALL. We are creating items for the KRC fair/bazaar which will take place November 3.  Please save wine corks and plastic grocery bags for use in this project.  A box is available in the room across from the church office for collecting these materials.

   FLAVORS - KRC’S COMMEMORATIVE COOKBOOK
The cookbook committee has selected, cooked, and photographed recipes submitted by members of the congregation.  The book has now gone to press, and we need your help!  Donations to this project are greatly appreciated, and checks may be made out to Kinderhook Reformed Church with “cookbook” in the memo.
CONTRIBUTORS OF $100 OR MORE WILL RECEIVE A FREE COOKBOOK.

A NOTE OF THANKS
Dear Rev. Visser,
“With warmest thanks, grateful hearts, and deep appreciation for your thoughtfulness” I just wanted to thank you and your congregation again for all that was done [at the May 26 monument dedication] in remembrance of Lewis Abraham Williamson [and all those buried unnamed in the Kinderhook Cemetery].  I and the family are forever grateful.  Thank you.
